Built around short notice
Blackpool does not move like anywhere else on this coast. A large share of the housing is rented, let by the room, or let by the week, so the calls we get here are rarely booked eight weeks out. They are a tenancy ending on Friday, a let that has to be ready before the weekend, or a landlord who has just got the keys back to a flat full of furniture.
Our Lytham base is close enough to make that workable. Same crew, same vehicles, no travel premium — and enough local familiarity to know that a promenade job in August is a completely different proposition from the same job in February.
What we are usually called for
Tenancy changeovers
Old tenant out, place cleared, new tenant in — often inside the same week. Tell us the check-out date and we will work backwards from it.
HMO and holiday lets
Room-by-room clearances where the rest of the building stays occupied and in use. We work around the other tenants rather than blocking the whole place off.
House moves
Ordinary domestic moves across the resort and out to the wider Fylde, with packing available if you want it — all of it, or just the breakables.
Single items and part loads
One sofa, a marketplace collection, or half a flat. Worth asking — small jobs often slot into an existing run for less than you would expect.
A note on the season
Between the Illuminations and the summer holidays, central Blackpool gets genuinely difficult to park a van in, and the promenade end of town can be closed off at short notice for events. If your move falls in that window it is worth calling early — we can usually still do it, but an earlier start makes the difference.
